Hello! Welcome to Eco-Pets, our attempt to reduce the amount of wasteful products in the pet marketplace.
Too many products, especially single use plastics, are part of our daily life as well as our pets'.
Thinking about this, Alex set up Eco-Pets Limited with the intention of limiting the impact to the environment caused by pet products. ​
In January 2023, whilst house sitting in Cornwall, I started on the journey towards Eco-Pets. As a nation of animal lovers and with a dog myself I began to look into the pet market-place and to see what improvements I could make, if any, to it. It became quite clear that, as with the vast majority of FMCG, single plastic use is as much of a problem as with any industry.
Knowing how many poop bags I get through I started to delve deeper into the specifics of poop bags. Exciting, I know!
By the spring I had decided up material - recycled plastic - and was busy designing the packaging, logo and going through all the relevant bureaucracy involved in setting up a company.

The first pallet load of poop bags arrived in the summer and I began selling them to friends and family, started to approach retailers and slowly grow the brand.
Either way we have ended up here, with poop bags made from recycled plastic, as I felt that environmentally speaking you were doing the least damage using recycled materials.
We also stock dental balls made from TPR, a great circular product, and will be increasing our range of products in the coming months.
